This will be just a review and will not contain any story based spoilers
First of all if you are here reading this,It either means you are yet to purchase the game or you don't have a Playstation 3.
I doubt there will be any PS3 user who is not going to buy this game ,and Considering the fact that everyone already knows how awesome this game is,i am gonna keep this review as short as it is possible.
This game is unlike anything you have ever played.
From Single-Player to Supply Raid and Survival this game is top notch!!
Its Possibly The Best Third-person shooter of This Generation.
This game is a Action-adventure Third-person shooter with a major touch of Survival horror elements.
Game-play is mostly played in a 3rd person view with over the shoulder cam view when you zoom the weapon.Lots of weapons are there that will unlock as you progress through the story ,you can upgrade them,upgrade your own personal survival stats like health etc,mod weapons on a work bench.There is a feature you can use you sense enemies around you (kinda like nano vision of crysis,there is no locking targets on enemies).You can pick up stuff like bottle or brick throw them on a side to lure enemies there and kill them or avoid encountering them and run away. The game can be played anyway you want!
Supply Raid and Survivor are two different modes in game.while survivor test your surviving skills.supply raid,Its just like a different name for Multiplayer game.Maps are brillantly designed and graphically look as good as single player sometime even better.I will not go into much detail of these modes,i will just tell you that these are equally enjoyable like the main campagin.
The Graphics are intense and beautiful, Naughty Dog (the developers of The Last of Us and Uncharted series) show no mercy when it comes to utilizing the PS3's hardware, these Graphics are the best you can get from a 2006's hardware.
Animations and AI are technically very superior and lifelike compared to any other game i have played. But enemy AI sometime feels very odd,considering the fact enemies almost never react to our allies movements. But The awesomeness of the Story-Line and Game-Play overpowers all these issues.
The Blood and Gore in this game is so real you will get chill on every kill.

Story-Line wise this game is great (though i will not go much into details due to spoilers issues).
In my opinion its inspired from 2002's very successful British horror-zombie film 28 days later and some other films and games.
Music of this game is something you'll remember for a long time.Its simply Great. I personally keep listening to The Last Of Us Main Theme by Gustavo Santaolalla.
Final Remarks > The Last Of Us is one of those titles that makes you buy a console if you dont have, seriously, Last of us is worth purchasing a Playstation 3.
