The Last Of Us Review

This will be just a review and will not contain any story based spoilers

First of all if you are here reading this,It either means you are yet to purchase the game or you don't have a Playstation 3.
I doubt there will be any PS3 user who is not going to buy this game ,and Considering the fact that everyone already knows how awesome this game is,i am gonna keep this review as short as it is possible.
This game is unlike anything you have ever played.
From Single-Player to Supply Raid and Survival this game is top notch!!
Its Possibly The Best Third-person shooter of This Generation.

This game is a Action-adventure Third-person shooter with a major touch of Survival horror elements.
Game-play is mostly played in a 3rd person view with over the shoulder cam view when you zoom the weapon.Lots of weapons are there that will unlock as you progress through the story ,you can upgrade them, upgrade your own personal survival stats like health etc,mod weapons on a work bench. There is a feature you can use you sense enemies around you (kinda like nano vision of crysis, there is no locking targets on enemies). You can pick up stuff like bottle or brick throw them on a side to lure enemies there and kill them or avoid encountering them and run away. The game can be played anyway you want!
Supply Raid and Survivor are two different modes in game.while survivor test your surviving skills.supply raid,Its just like a different name for Multiplayer game.Maps are brillantly designed and graphically look as good as single player sometime even better.I will not go into much detail of these modes,i will just tell you that these are equally enjoyable like the main campagin.

The Graphics are intense and beautiful, Naughty Dog (the developers of The Last of Us and Uncharted series) show no mercy when it comes to utilizing the PS3's hardware, these Graphics are the best you can get from a 2006's hardware.

Animations
and AI are technically very superior and lifelike compared to any other game i have played. But enemy AI sometime feels very odd, considering the fact enemies almost never react to our allies movements. But The awesomeness of the Story-Line and Game-Play overpowers all these issues.

The Blood and Gore in this game is so real you will get chill on every kill.

Story-Line wise this game is great (though i will not go much into details due to spoilers issues).
In my opinion its inspired from 2002's very successful British horror-zombie film 28 days later and some other films and games.

Music of this game is something you'll remember for a long time. Its simply Great. I personally keep listening to The Last Of Us Main Theme by Gustavo Santaolalla.

Final Remarks > The Last Of Us is one of those titles that makes you buy a console if you dont have, seriously, Last of us is worth purchasing a Playstation 3.
Get it Now.

Behold the Next Gen Smartphone - Samsung S5 !

Yes its right what you are reading, about the Samsung S5! Its going to be the Next Gen Smartphone from the Korean mobile Giant Samsung..

The demands will be high for the Samsung Galaxy S5, especially since the Galaxy S III marked the jump from 480 x 800 to HD and the S4 to 1920 x 1080. It’s possible that next year we’ll get even more pixels on the 5 inch display, which I think will be the diagonal yet again, A very interesting part of the specs is the 1.3 GHz deca core Exynos 6 processor and a 1.7 GHz dual core CPU for power saving.
Samsung Galaxy S5 camera 16 megapixel with LED flash, a 5 MP front camera with BSI and CMOS, plus 32/64/128 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM. The power source of thissmartphone is a 3100 m Ah battery and the device measures 7.1 mm in thickness.
Samsung Galaxy S4 release in 2013. As we can see its previous releases it becomes simple to guess that samsung release a new Galaxy S series phone once a year.Samsung S5 will be released in April 2014..

Features of the Samsung S5:

  • Octacore Processor
  • Android 5-Key Lime Pie
  • 2 GHz
  • 4 Gb Ram
  • 32/64/128 Gb Internal Storage
  • 16 Mp Camera, 5 Mp Front facing Camera
  • CARBON FIBRE Finish

HTC One Max to take on Samsung Galaxy Note 3

HTC-One

HTC is reportedly working on a phablet code named as HTC T6. The leaked sketches show that the design of phablet is similar to HTC One and it also suggests that the device can be named as HTC One Max. One more reason for the device being named as One Max is rumored HTC One Mini(HTC M4) which can be released soon. HTC One Max will not only be big in its size but will also come with improved features and specifications and also an increased price.

Specifications and Features

As we know, phablets are basically smart phones with increased display size and like other phablets HTC One Max will feature a big 5.9 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. To give you best performance, the device will pack a 2.3 GHz quad core Qualcomm SnapDragon 800 processor and 2 GB RAM. You will able to store unlimited data in your One Max in its 16 GB internal storage and if you want to store more, then there is a microSD card slot for you. It is rumored that the device will run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie operating system. A 3300 mAh battery will ensure that your phone does not runs out of battery and along with these high end specs, the device will be relatively slim with a thickness of 9.4 mm only and 140.4 mm in length.

Like HTC One, One Max will also feature an UltraPixel rear camera  and a 2.1 MP front camera. There will also be two speakers at the front with HTC’s Boom Sound technology. A rear fingerprint reader and a protective case of 1250 mAh is also rumored but it is highly doubted. HTC One Max can also feature a pen stylus with advanced technology in this device. With the stylus, HTC One Max will try to compete Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z Ultra phablets.

HTC T6 blueprints show that it is having same desing as HTC One.

OUYA The Gaming Console for Everyone!

We love playing games on the TV and we want to bring the most creative, innovative and engaging games back to the TV by allowing any developer—big or small, experienced or new, paparazzi-famous or up-and-coming—to easily build games for the big screen. Your favorite and soon-to-be-favorite games in 1080p—what’s not to love?

The design at least is admittedly quite appealing. It's sleek and remarkably small; the whole thing can be held comfortably in one hand. The controller is unimaginative but fine, and does feature a handy mouse touch-pad in the middle. Unfortunately it also feels a tad cheap yet cost £40 each, which becomes pretty expensive if you want to OUYA with friends.

The device only really comes to life for the more technically inclined; emulation and "side-loading' applications from Android phones may drastically increase the console's potential. But most of what the OUYA does is better covered by other gaming devices, making this feel more like an expensive toy than a cheap console.

Features of The OUYA :
  • EVERY GAME IS FREE TO TRY.
  • A LOT OF GAMES. LIKE, A LOT.
  • OUYA with NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.
  • 1 gB rAM
  • 8GB INTERNAL STORAGE

Review of Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Sony like all other mobile manufactures is trying to capture the phablet segment of smartphones with their latest phablet called Sony Xperia Z Ultra. As the name suggests, it is also a water proof tablet like Sony's Xperia Z which had a TFT LCD screen. This time Sony is changing from their traditional display to a gorgeous Triluminos display boasting a 6.44 inch screen size. It sports a Full HD 1080p display and an insanely fast Quad Core 2.2 GHz processor which is currently world's fastest processor yet.

In the hand, the Ultra feels like a cross between a jumbo Xperia Z and an Xperia SP. You have the glass front and rear of the Xperia Z and the pleasing metal frame of the SP, which helps make the phone comfortable to hold.

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra's dimensions measures just 6.5mm, the slimmest 1080p device and close to slimmest overall. We were quite impressed with the Tablet Z and this undercuts it by a fraction. Unlike the Xperia Tablet Z, however, this uses the latest chipset and Android available - Snapdragon 800 and Android 4.2 respectively.

Specifications of Xperia Z Ultra

  • General: Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, penta-band UMTS/HSPA, 100 Mbps LTE
  • Form factor: Ultra-thin water-resistant touchscreen phablet
  • Dimensions: 179.4 x 92.2 x 6.5, 212 g
  • Display: 6.4" 16M-color 1080p (1080 x 1920 pixels) capacitive touchscreen TFT Triluminous display with X-Reality and OptiContrast
  • CPU: Quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400
  • GPU: Adreno 330
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 800
  • RAM: 2GB
  • OS: Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • Memory: 16GB storage, microSD card slot
  • Camera: 8 megapixel auto-focus camera with face detection; Full HD (1080p) video recording at 30fps with HDR, 2MP front-facing camera with FullHD video capture
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, standard microUSB port with MHL and USB host, GPS receiver with A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC
  • Misc: IP58 certified - dust-sealed and water resistant beyond 1 meter; Shatter proof and scratch-resistant glass for the front and the back panel, metal frame on the sides
This is a no mercy strike against the Samsung Galaxy Note III and all other high-end phablets that will come up. Till now we have heard that this or that smartphone will house Qualcomm 800 SoC. But this is the first device which took initiative to boast the world's fastest chipset. And the attractive design and thin body are bound to win many proponents - they did for the Xperia Z and Tablet Z.

Same goes for the water resistant certification - IP58 means it can go deeper than 1m of water, unlike the sissy Xperia Z and Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.

OS – Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
Sony’s custom take on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is the closest to how Google intends the UI to look. In that sense, there aren’t many cosmetic or even thematic changes from past iterations of the Sony UI. Thanks to the larger display, users will get more screen real estate and Sony has allowed an expanded grid for the homescreen, letting users add up to six app shortcuts on the dock. There are some changes in the app drawer as well, with settings and editing options consigned to a navigation drawer that slides out from the left edge of the landing screen. We are sure there are other new additions, which we will get a look at once the retail version lands in our hands. Performance should be zippy thanks to the ultra-fast processor and the Jelly Bean underpinnings.

Cellular connectivity – LTE and HD Voice
As a 2013 top-of-the-line phone, it would have been a shame if the Z Ultra didn’t come with LTE connectivity. 4G is fittingly present and so is HD Voice, if your carrier supports it. And where there’s no LTE connectivity, HSPA+ or GPRS should fill in the gaps.

Display – 6.44-inch Triluminos LCD with 1080p resolution
This is Sony’s first phablet and as such it deserved a whopping big display. The Z Ultra’s 6.44-inch display should pretty much negate any need for a tablet on the side. And with a 1080p resolution, it’s not lacking for good image quality either. The one thing that Sony has just not been able to master is smartphone display. The TFT LCD in the Xperia Z looked much washed out to us and the viewing angles were poor. The Triluminos display supposedly does away with those two worries and some early impressions have called it on par with the much-praised Super LCD3 on the HTC One. There’s shatter-proof and scratch-resistant glass on top of the display.

Sony has also baked in its X-Reality image processor, which is said to enhance contrast, improve colour saturation and reduce noise, while the Super Resolution feature is claimed to bring the best viewing experience for videos of all quality. The OptiContrast design means the display is laminated to the glass to reduce light flare. One unique feature is the ability to use any pen or pencil as a stylus for the Z Ultra. Capacitive styluses work as well.

Form factor – Slim, massive, weather-resistant!
There’s no denying that the Z Ultra is a huge phone. We have trouble imagining this thing slipping into our pockets with ease. The glass front and back helps in keeping things smooth. Fitting in all that serious hardware power into a 6.5 mm body is no small feat and even the 3050 mAh battery doesn’t sound slight. Like the Xperia Z and the Tablet Z, the Z Ultra has a very monolithic design. The glass back and front are framed by a metal trim along the edges to lend the whole device more solidity. This one too gets waterproof and dustproof abilities thanks to IP58 certification. We are impressed with the direction Sony is taking, but are equally concerned about the bulk and sheer size of the Z Ultra.

Wi-Fi – Flagship worthy
The Z Ultra comes with the very best in Wi-Fi connectivity. This means it can go up to the ac band and also comes with dual-band support. In addition, there’s Wi-Fi Direct and DLNA for content sharing. Wi-Fi hotspot is present as usual.

SoC – Snapdragon 800
This is the first phone to launch with Qualcomm’s ultra-fast Snapdragon 800 SoC. That means it gets four Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.2GHz. That’s in addition to the new Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The chipset is expected to be miles ahead of the second-tier Snapdragon 600 SoC, which is still one of the fastest mobile processors in the world. The Xperia Z Ultra won’t be lacking any firepower, but you are not likely to come across any application that will really put the chipset to the test. Besides improving performance, the 800 also brings native always-on voice command support and an updated version of Qualcomm’s power management solution.

Internal storage – 16GB with microSD card slot
Despite the waterproof and dustproof body, the Z Ultra gets a microSD card slot (under flaps, of course), and that’s in addition to the 16GB of internal storage. The slot accepts cards up to 64GB in capacity. Plenty of storage for HD videos.

Cameras – 8 megapixel Exmor RS sensor and 2 megapixel front-facing
The camera specs of the Z Ultra are slightly behind the Xperia Z. But that’s not to say it’s bad. It gets geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, image stabilisation, HDR, 3D Sweep Panorama mode plus other shooting modes. Both the cameras are capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps, but only the back camera gets video stabilisation and the HDR mode.

Can go out for a walk in the rain

Extras – NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, USB On-The-Go
Like most new Sony smartphones, the Xperia Z Ultra also gets NFC support. There’s Bluetooth 4.0 onboard, but no mention of whether this phone is Bluetooth Smart ready for the new generation of wireless accessories. If you are not happy enough with the internal memory card and the microSD card slot, then there’s USB On-The-Go support for more storage expansion.

Sony is throwing in a unique NFC-toting secondary handset SBH52 along with the Z Ultra, which lets users answer calls, read texts or called ID on the small OLED display and also acts as a wireless music player thanks to the included 3.5 mm jack. It's meant to reduce the number of times users fish the phone out of their purse or pocket.

Battery – 3050 mAh Li-Ion battery
The battery on the Z Ultra is non-removable thanks to the sealed design. The 3050 mAh unit sounds plenty, but we are not sure how much power will be hogged by the large full HD display and the high-end SoC. There’s Stamina Mode, which allows you to customise which apps can get data connection when the phone is sleeping or locked. This drastically reduces the amount the battery is taxed while in sleep mode. The battery is rated for up to 790 hours and 820 hours on standby on 2G and 3G respectively. It is rated for up to14 hours for talk time on 2G connection and up to 16 hours on 3G. Sony says the phone should last up to 120 hours when playing just music.
The bottom line
This being Sony’s very first foray into the phablet segment, we are very impressed by what it brings to the table. Not only has the phablet segment grown over the past few years, but manufacturers have also tried to add as much new display and touch innovations in these devices as possible. Sony’s latest allows you to use any regular pen and pencil to navigate and it brings serious hardware prowess to the battle against the LG Optimus G Pro and the forthcoming Galaxy Note 3. At the moment, based only on the specs and the features, we are tempted to call the Sony Xperia Z Ultra the phablet to beat for 2013.
